Learn More

Art education can extend well beyond the classroom for students who may have an interest in teaching at a museum or working at a gallery. We work to provide opportunities to explore the fullness of the field. Therefore, each student pursuing the BFA is encouraged to engage in an internship or museum-based education setting.

Art education students pursue a capstone research project tied to arts-based research in their senior year thus aligning the various roles they will engage in as professionals. These research investigations are shared at the Stander Symposium. Many of the students have co-published and/or co-presented their research findings with our faculty
