Senior Mechanical Engineering Student Returns to Guatemala as Student Leader for Ethos Center International Breakout

Senior mechanical engineering student Christian Fowlkes chose to get involved with the Ethos Center after attending an informational event for the program his junior year. He traveled to Alotenango, Guatemala in March 2023 to complete his first international breakout. His experience was life-changing, and he knew he wanted to go back and help to continue the project they started.

Entrepreneur Ready to Mass-Produce Eye Movement Recording System Thanks to Engineering Senior Design Teams

Ron Waldorf joined forces with an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department to create the DAX Evidence Recorder, which records eye movements of an impaired driver. Looking to reduce costs and prepare the DAX product for mass production, Waldorf connected with the Innovation Center in the School of Engineering to become a sponsor of a senior design project.

Mechanical Engineering Student 2024 John E. Riley Award Recipient

UD's Division of Student Development has selected Liesl Carter, a mechanical engineering major from Centerville, Ohio, as the recipient of the John E. Riley Award.
