Start Trying to Make Roesch Happen

By The University Libraries marketing and outreach team

Inspired by the movie Mean Girls (because we're a cool library), we’ll have a lineup of services and resources to make finals week grool for University of Dayton students.

The limit does not exist

Roesch Library will be open 24 hours beginning Sunday, Dec. 5. Use your UD ID to enter the building after 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and after 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

You can sit with us

Visit with the UD 4 Paws for Ability dogs, 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, on the first floor across from the leisure reading bookshelves.

Is pizza a carb?

Enjoy free pizza starting at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12 in the ground floor LTC rotunda. Sponsored by the UD Alumni Association and Students for University Advancement (SUA).

AY-YI-YI-YI-YI-YI!

Sip on free coffee and tea beginning at 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, Dec. 12-16, while supplies last, in the first-floor Refuel Zone.

Wear pink on Wednesday

Will Wednesday, Dec. 15, be the fateful day we convince an entire campus to coordinate their outfits to ours? Tag or DM @roeschlibrary with a photo of your pink flair. Our favorite will receive free tickets to see the Mean Girls musical on the date of their choice during the summer 2022 tour dates in downtown Dayton.

Go get cheese fries

Is butter a carb? Ugh. Just go get cheese fries for $3.25 at one of our partnering campus dining establishments.

  • Kennedy Union: Lunch and dinner (10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.) Monday through Thursday, Dec. 13-16; lunch (10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) Friday, Dec. 17
  • Marycrest: Lunch and dinner (11 a.m. to 10 p.m.) Monday through Friday, Dec. 13-17
  • Virginia W. Kettering: Lunch (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) Sunday through Thursday, Dec. 12-16
Four for you, Glenn Coco! And none for Gretchen Wieners. Bye.

We’ll be passing out candy canes to students studying in the library on Monday, Dec. 13, along with an extra treat for those times when someone suggests, “Wanna go to Taco Bell?"

Burn Book … more like Learn Book

Stop by Concourse D by the second-floor elevators to make a de-stress and reflection journal — 2-3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 13-14.

Get in, loser; we’re going home

As a reminder, Lyft Flyer Ride offers discounted ride rates to students 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. This service is operated by UD Public Safety and staffed by students.

The University Libraries wish you the best of luck for a fetch finals week and winter break. Go Flyers!
