State-of-the-art facilities for collaborative learning

Students in the University of Dayton School of Education and Health Sciences benefit from our state-of-the-art facilities which promote comprehensive, collaborative learning. This helps bridge the gap between classic practices and the most advanced emerging technologies.

Raymond L. Fitz Hall

Primary home for the University of Dayton School of Education and Health Sciences. Features modern, interactive classrooms, work space, technology and equipment, as well as spacious common areas for individual study and group collaboration.

The 6th floor houses the majority of the School's departments, programs, offices and centers. The Physician Assistant Education master's program is located on the 5th floor; the Physical Therapy doctoral program is located on the 2nd floor.

The building is named for Brother Raymond L. Fitz, 17th president of UD (1979-2002).

Daniel J. Curran Place

This facility, located minutes from UD's main campus, offers a wide range of interactive classroom space, with the most up-to-date technology, as well as observation labs for masters-level counseling students. Graduate students in the departments of Counselor Education & Human Services and Educational Administration attend some classes at this location.

The building is named for Dr. Daniel J. Curran, 18th president of UD (2002-16).

DeSales Campus

Students who attend this campus have the opportunity to attend classes in the Department of Counselor Education & Human Services. Programs here include Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling and Human Services. This campus offers six classrooms, group study/collaboration areas, kitchen/breakroom, two courtyards and individual counseling rooms that are soundproof spaces for confidentiality.

DeSales Campus
Bombeck Family Learning Center

This five star-rated facility is a leader in the early childhood community and the care of children ages birth through five years old. The Center, located minutes from the UD campus, is a demonstration school for Early Childhood Education majors, and its faculty & staff serve as mentors for future early childhood educators.

Second-year Early Childhood Education majors actively participate in the Center's classrooms during their year-­long field practicum, learning the best practices in early childhood education as they prepare to become tomorrow's teachers.

Bombeck Family Learning Center
RecPlex

Students in the Department of Health & Sport Science regularly use the resources and facilities at the RecPlex, the University's recreation facility, to complete coursework and research projects.
