Library Awards
The following University Libraries awards and distinctions are available to eligible students.
The Dr. Nicoletta Hary Award provides a scholarship to a returning full or part-time sophomore or junior student with a major or minor in teacher education. Award criteria include financial need, a good academic record, and personal characteristics reflecting the Marianist tradition.
The Rev. Theodore Koehler, S.M., International Student Award provides a scholarship to a returning international student (with non-immigrant visa). IEP students are ineligible. Award criteria include financial need, a good academic record, and personal characteristics which reflect the Marianist tradition.
The Brother Frank Ruhlman, S.M., Award of Excellence for Literary Achievement provides a scholarship to a UD undergraduate who demonstrates excellence in writing that has been published in University publications (electronic or print) within the previous 12 months.
Award applications are typically accepted January through February.
The University Libraries will honor Lucy Waskiewicz, Rojan K C and Malena Coleman April 24 with the 2024 Library Awards.
The Libraries honor junior Iyana Higgins, senior Tori Miller and graduate student Sabin Satheesh with the 2023 Library Awards.
