NEWS AND NOTES

Federal vaccine mandate

The University is aware of the executive order and other forthcoming rules about vaccines announced by President Biden. Leadership is carefully reviewing what is known and awaiting the promised additional guidance to ensure we are in compliance. We will communicate as soon as decisions are finalized and plans developed. The University continues to urge faculty, staff and students who are not yet vaccinated to do so as soon as possible. The University will host walk-in vaccine clinics open to students, faculty and staff until 4 p.m. today in KU 211 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, in Keller Hall 014. You can also schedule an appointment at other locations through the state’s streamlined vaccine tool.

UD faculty, staff and students are invited to join the Virtual Erma, a half-day, fully online writing workshop Saturday, Oct. 23. UD participants will receive free, unlimited access to the workshop offerings for six months.
