Erma Bombeck Writers' Workshop

The Erma Bombeck Writers’ Workshop is collaborating with the late DC Stanfa’s family to help writers with financial need attend our popular biennial workshop. 

The DC Stanfa Memorial Writers’ Award honors DC, a writer, humorist, and avid supporter and long-time attendee. With a major gift commitment from her husband, Tom Schonecker, and daughter, Cori Hedrick, and generous support from family, friends and the Erma community, the fund will provide financial support for writers, especially underrepresented ones.

At least two awards, which cover the registration fee, travel expenses and hotel stay, will be available for the April 4-6, 2024 Erma Bombeck Writers' Workshop.
