Cyber technology, intellectual property innovation subject of law school's Program in Law Technology virtual seminar June 11

"Exploring the Future of Cyber Technology and Intellectual Property Innovation" will be the subject of the University of Dayton School of Law's 30th annual Program in Law and Technology Seminar held online 8:30 a.m.  to 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 11.

Keynote speaker Deidré A. Keller, dean of the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University College of Law will deliver the keynote address "The Future (of Diversity and Inclusion) in Intellectual Property."

Other sessions during the daylong event will discuss law and ethics in security research, dual protection for patents under the U.S. Constitution, strategies for filing patents, and cybersecurity and data privacy for small businesses. Speakers include legal experts from Ohio, Washington D.C., Florida and the United Kingdom.

Continuing legal education credit of 5.25 hours (4.25 general and 1.0 of attorney professional conduct instruction) is pending. Register here; the fee is $95, which will cover online seminar sessions and online course materials. Scholarships are available for full-time judges, government employees and professors (non-UD) for $50. All full-time students, regardless of college or university, and UD employees may register for free. Full or partial fee waivers based on financial hardship may be available. The registration fee, less a handling charge, will be refunded if cancellation is received by May 29. There will be no refunds after that date.
