Opportunities & Activities

Get more than your foot in the door — get ready for success. Our opportunities and activities prepare tomorrow's business leaders. You'll gain valuable business insights, experience the spirit of service and develop priceless personal connections while having fun too.

Internships & Co-ops

You have the opportunity to participate in resume-building, experience-enhancing internships and cooperative education during the summer or school year. Immerse yourself in business, gain new insights and determine what type of job you're really interested in. You may even find a position before you graduate.

Cooperative education is a structured program that combines classroom learning with practical work experience. Students alternate terms between studying and full-time working for a participating company in an operations and supply chain management-oriented job. First work assignments often begin in the third or fourth semester. For advice on curriculum planning to accommodate a co-op experience, contact our Undergraduate Advising Center.

Additional information about internships and co-ops, including how to apply, can be found on the Career Services website.

MIS Club

As a member of the MIS Club, you can join other students interested in MIS and information technology in a social and professional community while exploring more about these exciting fields.

Operations and Supply Chain Management Student Association

Students who major in OSC are automatically entitled to membership in the OPS Student Association (OPSSA) which connects them to fellow students, the OMAC, and the OSC faculty web of regional business contacts. OPSSA receives support from the Dayton Chapter of APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) and maintains a student chapter affiliation status with the Dayton Chapter. Additionally, all OSC students are eligible for a free membership to the Institute of Supply Management. Each year OPSSA holds social, educational, and service events planned and managed by the OSC student body.
