Early Drop-off
Early Drop-Off: Saturday August 10 & Sunday August 11, 2024
Avoid long lines at move-in day by dropping off your items early. Sign up for early drop-off as a first-year student and you have an hour window to drop off your residential items to your room in advance of your formal move-in.
Once your housing assignment has been confirmed, Housing and Residence Life will share the sign-up details for Early Drop-Off via UD email, please be sure to check your email regularly.
Please note:
- Do not drop off anything that you might need before move-in, such as medications, as you will not have access to the room after your drop-off appointment.
- The hour window is dedicated for you to drop-off your belongings, please do not expect to have extended time to unpack and organize during Early Drop-Off.
CARS MAY ONLY UNLOAD IN THE DROP-AND-GO LOCATIONS BEING USED FOR EARLY DROP-OFF.
Once you arrive, you will be directed to pull up in front of your residence hall. You may not leave your vehicle unattended at any point while unloading it. One person is required to stay with the vehicle at all times. As soon as your belongings are unloaded, you will be directed to park in the nearest lot for the remainder of your time. Students using U-Hauls or other oversized vehicles will be directed to park and unload in alternate locations by Parking Services personnel.
THESE DIRECTIONS ARE ONLY FOR EARLY DROP-OFF
A campus map is available below for reference to the Early Drop-Off routes. Be sure to follow the signage, and be aware that GPS devices aren't always accurate on campus.
Founders
At the intersection of Brown St. and Stewart St., stay straight on Brown. Turn left at Kiefaber St. Take a left on Evanston St. going past the RecPlex and C parking lot. Park in upper C lot to unload.
Marycrest
At the intersection of Brown St. and Stewart St., stay straight on Stewart and turn right directly in front of Marycrest (before Access Way). Unload in front of the building.
Stuart
At the intersection of Brown St. and Stewart St., stay straight on Stewart and turn right on Access Way. You will go behind Marycrest, VWK and pull in at Stuart to unload.
Please review the map for specific directions to the individual residence halls. There will also be signs to help direct you to your residence hall.
The UD Bookstore will be open:
