From Thursday, Jan. 4 through Friday, Feb. 2, all weekday Chapel of the Immaculate Conception liturgical celebrations, including 12:30 p.m. Mass, reconciliation, exposition and evening prayers will be moved to the Marianist Hall chapel while the main chapel receives needed lighting system repairs. Son of UD alumnus killed in action in Iraq honors family legacy in military service

Every Jan. 20, you can find John Kelly near the plaque outside the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception honoring UD Army ROTC graduates who died while serving their country. It's the place he goes on the anniversary of his father's death — Col. Paul Kelly '84, who was killed along with 11 other soldiers when their helicopter was shot down in 2007 during the war in Iraq. He is the only UD Army ROTC grad to lose his life in service during that war. Read more about the Kelly family.

Every Wednesday during the academic year and occasionally during the summer, the University news and communications team shares news to help you stay connected. Previous issues of Student News Digest are archived at go.udayton.edu/flyerfamilies.
