Chapel repairs complete

Chapel of the Immaculate Conception lighting system repairs are finished, and the daily 12:30 p.m. Mass in the chapel has resumed.

Roger Brown lecture: Sports Media and Social Justice with Jessica Luther

The campus community is invited to a talk at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, in Kennedy Union ballroom with investigative journalist, author and podcaster Jessica Luther about the modern sports media environment. Luther is the second resident of the Roger Brown Residency in Social Justice, Writing and Sport, and will be at UD Feb. 27-29. Read more about Luther's talk here

National expert on civility to give free talk March 11

University of Dayton alum and national expert on civil discourse Timothy Shaffer will share strategies for respectful and open conversations during his talk "Engaging the 'Other' for the Common Good" at 4 p.m. Monday, March 11, in the Jesse Philips Humanities Center Sears Recital Hall. Shaffer's talk, part of the Association of Marianist Universities Marianist Lecture Series, is free and open to the public. Read more about Shaffer's talk here.

Matthew Shaw named University Libraries dean

Matthew Shaw, dean of University Libraries at Ball State since 2016, will serve in the same position at the University of Dayton starting July 1. Read more about Shaw.

Keith '78 and Paula '81 Cosby found each other through UD. It wasn't on campus, though, but 500 miles away in Atlanta on a train platform after a baseball game. Three months after reuniting with each other, they were engaged to be married. Read their story here.
