File the FAFSA by April 1

The U.S. Department of Education introduced significant changes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) this year. If your student plans to return to UD next year, file the FAFSA by April 1, to maintain financial aid eligibility. Learn more about FAFSA changes on our website

Roger Brown Residency lecture: Sports Media and Social Justice with Jessica Luther

The community is invited to a talk at 7 p.m. tonight in Kennedy Union ballroom with investigative journalist, author and podcaster Jessica Luther about the modern sports media environment. Luther is the second resident of the Roger Brown Residency in Social Justice, Writing and Sport, and will be at UD through Feb. 29. Read more about Luther's talk here.

Education career interview day

This event is open to graduating UD students and alumni seeking full-time careers in education. Participants can meet with employers 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at Daniel J. Curran Place. Students can email Sarah Zamora in Career Services or call 937-229-2073 with any questions.

Campus life, mental health and stigma: A Dialogue Zone series

Students can join the Dialogue Zone in Roesch Library 107 for a three-part series on mental wellbeing at UD and in society at-large. The series aims to explore personal experiences and stories related to stressors in university life, mental health and stigmas. Sessions are 2:30-3:20 p.m. Wednesdays March 6, March 20 and April 3. Lenten Encounter: Journey of the Heart

Chicago artist Jacqueline Romo, creator of the Passion of the Monarca Migrante, will hold a public discussion on the connections between Jesus' passion, death and resurrection, the immigrant experience and Catholic Social teaching 6:30 p.m. Thursday March 7, in the Adele McGinnis Room. A bilingual Mass in Spanish and English follows at 8 p.m. Email Arumi Ortiz with questions.

"Art and Science of Solar and Lunar Eclipse Photography" lecture

Brian Kent, former U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory chief technology officer and an amateur astro-photographer, will visit UD to share his experiences photographing eclipses at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, in Sears Recital Hall. Dayton is in the path of totality for the Great American Solar Eclipse April 8, and Kent also will share ideas on safely and effectively photographing the event.

UD Physical Therapy wins awards at annual conference

Students and faculty from the UD Department of Physical Therapy presented research at the American Physical Therapy Association's annual scientific conference last week in Boston. Four of the 12 research presentations won the top award in their categories. Read more about the research and awards.
