Cheer on the UD men's basketball team as they play Nevada at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21, in the first round of the NCAA tournament in Salt Lake City. Dayton is the seventh seed in the West region. Watch the game on TBS. UD Arena also hosts the First Four today, with the first game at 6:40 p.m.

Easter recess, Holy Week 2024

Easter recess for students begins after the last class Friday, March 22; classes resume at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 1. University offices will be closed Friday, March 29, in observance of Good Friday. University offices will reopen Monday, April 1. You are invited to celebrate Holy Week and the Easter Triduum at UD in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception. Easter recess mail information

Students living in a residence hall, Plumwood Apartments, University Place, Caldwell Apartments or Adele Hall, will have mail or packages arriving from Friday, March 22, through Monday, April 1, held in mailing services. Students in a UD-owned property in the south student neighborhood (45409 or 45419 zip codes), along with Garden Apartments, Campus South and South Quad, must contact the Oakwood branch post office on the corner of Brown and Irving streets to have mail and packages held until they return to campus. Students staying on campus during spring break getting a notice they've received mail can pick it up from mailing services.

Final exam week attendance expectations for students

The final exam period for this semester runs from Monday, April 29, through Friday, May 3. As a reminder, students are expected to remain on campus through the scheduled exam times for their classes, articulated at the start of the term in the university’s spring 2024 final exam schedule.

As outlined in UD’s final exam policy, all courses are expected to have a "culminating learning experience, normally a final examination," and "no final examination may be scheduled at a time other than the time prescribed by the Registrar during final examination week" except where formally approved accommodations require otherwise. Questions about this policy can be directed to the Office of the Provost.

Open house for school counseling and higher education and student affairs programs

The higher education and student affairs program and the school counseling program are accepting master’s degree applications for the 2024-25 school year. The department is hosting an open house 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, and Wednesday, April 3, in Fitz Hall 629 to answer questions and provide more information. Email Jason Zhu with questions.
