Catch up or get ahead on your academic progress this summer

Important messages about St. Patrick's Day/warm weather gatherings

Students received messages about anticipated gatherings and celebrations this spring, which included reminders about following state laws and local ordinances, as well as UD policies and procedures. More information can be found in emails sent Thursday, Feb. 29, and Tuesday, March 5 and Thursday, March 7.

Duo to debut a new look Thursday

Beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday, March 14, you'll notice a new look and enhanced security for your Duo login experience with Duo Universal Prompt. The login process will remain the same: log into Shibboleth with your credentials and complete your 2FA authentication on Duo's website. What will change is that you'll be directed to a separate Duo website for the 2FA step. Previously, 2FA options were displayed within the University branding. Your Duo Universal Prompt also will automatically choose the "most secure" 2FA option from your registered devices. In most cases, this will be a Duo Push to your phone. Police training March 14-15 at Old River Park

University of Dayton Public Safety will host a training, which will include law enforcement partners from the area, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. March 14-15. Some parts of the training will be at Old River Park. Anyone in the area of the training on these days should be aware the activity is part of a scheduled exercise.

UD community invited to participate in project honoring Oregon District shooting victims

All members of the UD community are invited to lay a piece of tile in The Seed of Life mosaic, which will be part of a permanent memorial to honor the nine victims of the Aug. 4, 2019, mass shooting in the Oregon District. Faculty, staff and students can add to the mosaic 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 18-19, in Kennedy Union 311. Read how English lecturer Molly Keane-Sexton helped bring the mosaic to UD.

Take a Break… An Eclipse Conversation

Find out all you ever wanted to know about the Great American Solar Eclipse from four members of the University's eclipse planning team. In this month's Take a Break, Jason Deibel, Matthew Lopper, Julianne Morgan and David Wright share more about why April 8 is such a historic event, and what to expect that day, no matter where you're viewing the eclipse. 2024 Miryam Award

The Center of Social Concern in Campus Ministry named Isabella Saylor '24 the 2024 Miryam Award recipient. The award honors those making significant contributions in advancing the climate for women at UD. Saylor has supported and mentored women in her field of electrical and computer engineering, and has embraced and lived the Marianist charism of the university. "All Things Marian" podcast

The International Marian Research Institute at UD is collaborating with Radio Maria for a weekly live radio show and podcast, "All Things Marian." The show presents information about the Virgin Mary and explores current Marian research topics presented by UD faculty, staff and students. Experts, alumni and friends of the International Marian Research Institute also share their knowledge and experience. Check out the latest episodes.

Through June 28: Mary in Catholic Education

In this exhibit, Mary in Catholic Education, UD teacher education students used materials from the Marian Library's collections to explore how Catholic ideals have been shared with different audiences. From Catholic comic books to Marianist manga and an 18th-century primer, visit to learn more about Mary across educational genres and cultures. View the exhibit flier and download coloring pages.

March is for Women's History

Every year, the National Women's History Alliance selects a theme for women's history month. For 2024, the theme is "Women who advocate for equity, diversity, and inclusion." View the University Libraries' resource blog and topic guide
